Due to the growing demand for high speed precision gearing, crown are investing in a new Hofler Rapid II 800 L gear grinding machine for profile grinding of internal and external gearing.

Machine will be up and operational by end of September, 2024. New machine will be stationed within a temperature and humidity controlled room for stability of working environment to achieve high accuracy in the most efficient way. Together with our new Klingelnberg P250 measuring centre and our Hexagon Leitz Reference HP CMM with gear measuring capabilities, purchased new in 2022, Crown are at the fore front of gear measuring and quality control systems.

With a maximum internal and external grinding diameter of 800mm and a stroke length of 1000mm, this machine is perfect for high speed turbine and compressor pinions. Minimum inside diameter for profile grinding of internal gears is 100mm.
